Which Roof Box should I buy?
Simple steps to help you buy the best roof box for your needs.
1. Don't laugh - have you got a Roof Rack? If not get one or you Roof Box wont fit. Try www.car-roofracks.co.uk. This happens about once a week to us "I purchased a box, how does it fit"
2. Check which Roof Boxes will fit your car's roof rack.
Measure the width of your roof rack and the distance between the two bars that cross the roof. See our diagram here and write down the dimensions.
3. Compare the dimension with those given on our fixing Dimension Chart.
This will identify the range of boxes from which to choose.

4. Set your budget and compare the ranges.
5. Small car smaller box, bigger car bigger box but only if you need it. If your Roof Box is to be used once a year for holidays then limit your spend. If the box is to live on top of the car then buy a better Thule product that will last longer and give better fuel consumption.
6. Narrow boxes allow you fit kayak or cycle carriers to the roof rack as well as the top box. Wide boxes simply move more gear.
7. If you can tie your own laces you qualify and can select and fit the right Roof Box for your needs.
